What Can I Expect

Going to the Chiropractor is a new experience for many of us. Maybe we've heard through a friend or have done some research online. .

Here is what to expect on your first visit to a chiropractor.

What goes on during your 1st chiropractic visit:

1.     Initial paperwork (about 3 pages), which you fill out online or can come 30 minutes before your appointment to fill out.

2.     Come into the office where you’ll sign a few documents we need.

3.     We will take you to the back and do a medical history followed by vital signs and range-of-motion of your neck and lower back. We will also evaluate your posture through a foot scan.

4.     We will take you across the hall to the exam/x-ray room where you will watch a short 5-minute video on what we do here. You’ll hear the term Subluxation; a bone putting pressure on the delicate nerves.

5.     The doctor will step in and introduce himself and do a short neuro, ortho, and chiropractic exam, checking you for subluxations.

6.     Next, x-ray(s) are taken if necessary.  Following the x-ray(s) the doctor will show them to you.

7.     You’ll go to the adjusting room and the doctor will adjust your Subluxations. Afterwards the doctor will explain what to expect and he will call you that evening to check on you.

8.     Lastly, you’ll go to the front desk to schedule your next appointment for a report of the findings from the exam, x-ray(s), and the foot scan.
